Focal Epilepsy: From Genetic to Structural Etiology Advanced and Interactive International Course
Today more than ever, both epileptologists and physicians who are not specialists in epilepsy face the challenge of diagnosing and treating complex, rare, or drug-resistant epilepsies from the outset. In this context, EEG and video-EEG become essential diagnostic tools, alongside the medical history and physical examination.
An accurate interpretation of the EEG not only directs patients toward complementary studies such as neuroimaging or genetic testing, but also guides initial treatment decisions. Clinical follow-up and the course of treatment depend, to a large extent, on these electroencephalographic findings.
This intensive course is designed to provide pediatric neurologists, neurophysiologists, and pediatricians with a practical, advanced, and highly interactive training experience in the interpretation of pediatric EEG and VEEG.
We will be joined by an international faculty with extensive experience, who will guide the learning process through real-world cases, guided discussions, and small-group work. The focus is on clinical practice: learning by doing, discussing, and solving problems together.
To ensure a personalized experience, the course will be limited to 42 participants, organized into teams of up to 6 people for every 2 mentors. Basic knowledge of EEG is recommended.
